Zurich-based Studio Ottawa has two specialisations: their hospitality concepts and handmade ceramics, which have the same warm but stylised design. With Nebula, its new ceramics collection for Serax, Studio Ottawa had the opportunity to go one step further. Founder Nadine Ottawa worked with clay to create an object that would accentuate the beauty of the ceramic glaze. The result of this long design process is Nebula, a collection of stylised lamps that infuse spaces with light and highlight the lamps’ refined glaze. Each lamp consists of two meticulously rounded ceramic shapes. A hushed light emanates from the two mirroring discs, reminiscent of the nebula that you sometimes see in the night-time sky. Hence the name Nebula, a cloud of glowing stardust, for a collection that sets a new standard in lamp design, adding warmth and cosiness to any space, be it a hotel room or a home.Designed by Studio Ottawa
