The world was first introduced to the now-iconic design of Cartier’s Love bracelet back in 1969, when Italian jewellery designer Aldo Cipullo enamoured New Yorkers with his own modern interpretation of an historical relic: the chastity belt. Cipullo’s intention was to create an everlasting symbol of love for contemporary romantics – and so he did through an almost unbreakable locking system. Ever since that era-defining moment, the Maison has reimagined the cult piece countless times, adapting it into new shapes such as this 18-karat rose gold torque necklace.
