Description: In the sixties, supercars were voluptuous hammered aluminum hulls with supermodel curves, organic shapes that seemed sculpted from marble. But in Italy, a new generation of designers was working day and night on radical ideas straight out of the future. Thus began the era of the supernatural concept cars of the '70s: wedges on wheels, all angles and edges, with bodies stretched between the lines. Roofs were lowered to window level, you sat almost on the ground, windshield and hood shared the same flat plane. And always a roaring V12 engine right at the back of your head. Many of these concepts are now forgotten by the general public, but one of them became the must-have poster in boys' bedrooms in the '80s. It's hard to overstate the influence these cars have had on popular culture - not just in automotive design, but also in science fiction films, fighter planes, racing boats and many other iconic forms of our everyday lives. UFO is our tribute to big dreams and radical change.
