Notebook Medicine
Notebook from the special Frida collection. The model is made of paper.
The special Frida collection connects the worlds of fashion and art. Inspired by the work of one of the most important female artists of the 20th century—Frida Kahlo—it draws on the exceptional intensity, emotion, and symbolism of her paintings, bringing the artist’s distinctive style into everyday clothing and interior design. The garments in the collection captivate with their painterly prints and rich textures—from flowing dresses and blouses to modern, artistic styles. Accessories and jewelry bring energy and lightness to the style, becoming subtle yet expressive accents. Decorative items and interior textiles, in turn, make it possible to bring the intensity of Frida’s world into the home. The collection includes reproductions of the artist’s paintings, making art tangible, close, and useful, accompanying everyday moments.
Frida Kahlo created deeply personal, symbolic art filled with pain and color, remaining outside the mainstream of her time and challenging social expectations of women. She combined realism, Mexican folklore, and surrealist elements. Nearly half of her paintings are self-portraits, which she regarded as a form of diary. Her paintings were not always "beautiful," but they captured the reality of the women of her time. This was a way to express her soul—a merging of body and mind. She shows herself, not only how she looks, but also how she feels.
