Unlike most Champagnes, the reserve wines for each edition are selected first, the spring after harvest, before deciding whether to create a pure vintage or blend into a new Grande Cuvée. The 169th edition combines grapes from 2013 with 146 reserve wines spanning 11 different years, resulting in a dry palate and a sleek, harmonious finish.
