Chene Bleu - Heloise
Overview: Chêne Bleu wines begin with the exceptional advantage of isolation. We are able to capture and express the individual character of the terroir – the soil, the microclimate, the vegetation, the altitude – that make our wines unique. All the experts agree that it is an exceptional site for growing grapes due to its complex clay and limestone soils, its varied exposures and slopes, its isolation and altitude. The vineyards are situated at the crossroads of four Rhône Appellations near Gigondas. For the wines of Chêne Bleu this is not a defining aspect, given the natural and a-typical characteristics of our terroir. Therefore, we have chosen to implement these French and International practices that we believe are best suited, even when it means presenting the wines as Vin De Pays.
Tasting Notes: Deep, garnet red in appearance. On the nose, licorice and sweet spice; concentrated and rich with a hint of truffle. Full bodied and strong with a silky smooth finish, rich with tannins
Pairing: Lamb Ragout, Char Roasted Vegetables with Chimichurri
Points: 94 KE
Format / ABV: 750 ml / 15
