Cote West - Dell Barba Vineyard - Contra Costa County - Rose of Zinfandel
Overview: Côte refers to a hillside, seashore, border, or one of those rare sloped regions that are home to the world's most interesting vineyards. Our wine grapes originate from distinct Californian sites with unique weather patterns, terrain, and soils that lend themselves to excellent wine. And yet our practices resemble those more commonly found in Burgundy: we pick early to ensure lively acidity and lower alcohol, and we minimize sulfur and other additions. Côte West brings the best of these worlds together at our urban winery and on-site tasting room in Oakland, California.
Tasting Notes: Red fruits, spice and peppery Zinfandel on the nose. On the palate, this dry rosé showcases strawberry and raspberry, has great structure and lively acidity.
Pairing: Grilled Halibut with Mango Chutney, Spicy Thai Fried Rice
Points: 88 pts, KE
Format / ABV: 750 ml / 12.8
