Hinotori means "Phœnix" in Japanese!

Coming back from its ashes is exactly what the Hekinan distillery, located in Aichi and founded in 1949, is doing by releasing a limited 5 years old batch made from malt and grain in a pot still. Ageing takes place in used whisky barrels for 5 years to allow gentle and smooth aromas to develop.

Tasting Notes: 

• Color: Bright gold
• Nose: Fresh and fruity, flowers and exotic fruits, with a hint of apple and pear
• Palate: Smooth, ripe fruits, medium bodied
• Finish: Light vanilla taste, soft sweet

Hand or machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with similar colours. Avoid harsh chemicals or stain removers, which can affect the colour.
