JM Seleque - Solessence Rose - Extra Brut

Overview: One of Champagne’s most exciting and dynamic young producers, Jean-Marc Sélèque is based in Pierry in the Coteaux Sud d’Epernay…. As his viticultural progress bears dividends, these wines go from strength to strength. 

An unusually complex rosé made with a blend of reds--Meunier from his parcel of Les Charmes macerated over two days and Pinot Noir still wine from Les Gayères--blended into the Solessence cuvée along with 40% reserve wine. 

Tasting Notes: It's the Pinot Meunier, both in the Champagne blend and in the red addition, that makes this charming wine. It gives the wine its floral character, rich red fruits and subtle poise between freshness and a crisp texture that is comes from the low dosage. The wine has some bottle age and is ready to drink.

Pairing: Rich fish, shellfish, mild and soft cheeses.
