Orin Swift - Mercury Head - Cabernet Sauvignon

Overview: Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon is our flagship wine and emphasizes our guiding principle: Without quality grapes, great wine is impossible. It comes from the best lots from very select vineyards in Napa Valley and the wine is a testament to those vineyards, to our principle and to what is possible in Napa Valley. The Liberty Dime on each bottle symbolizes Dave’s favorite coin in his collection growing up and his most prized possession.

Tasting Notes: The nose is chock-full of aromatics—blue fruits, blackcurrant, licorice, baking spices, lavender and crushed gravel. Paired with a flooding palate with tremendous yet balanced weight, notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, espresso bean and blue and black fruits reverberate. A blueberry reduction coupled with chalky tannins leads to a long finish with hints of Herbs de Provence.
