While Rare Character, as an independent bottler, cannot disclose the cask's source, it's likely from Heaven Hill, the only Kentucky distiller producing Straight Malt Whiskey in 2013. With a mashbill of 65% Malted Barley and 35% corn, this powerful and spicy malt whiskey benefits greatly from an ice cube, allowing its rich, malty grain notes to bloom.
